1. About Gylder
Gylder is a personal net worth tracking tool that allows you to connect financial accounts and view your aggregated net worth in one place. Gylder is a trademark of cdum B.V., registered at the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 93033613, with its registered address at Boxmeerstraat 129, 5043ZC Tilburg, the Netherlands.
Gylder is not a financial adviser, broker, or investment manager. The information displayed is based on data retrieved from your connected accounts and manual entries. It is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Gylder makes no guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the data shown. Do not make financial decisions based solely on information displayed in Gylder.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old to use Gylder.
- You must be a resident of the European Union or European Economic Area.
- You must have the legal right to connect each account you link to Gylder.
3. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your Gylder login credentials secure, including your two-factor authentication device. You must notify us immediately at legal@gylder.nl if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
You are responsible for the accuracy of manual entries you add (real estate values, loan balances, etc.). Gylder does not verify manually entered data.
4. Subscriptions and billing
Free trial
New accounts on the Basic or Pro plan receive a 14-day free trial with full Pro features. No payment is taken during the trial. If you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be charged. After the trial, your subscription automatically converts to the plan you selected at signup and billing begins.
Subscription plans
Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually as selected at checkout. All prices shown on the Gylder website and in the app include VAT. EU VAT is calculated at checkout based on your country of residence.
Annual subscriptions are billed upfront for 12 months. Monthly subscriptions are billed at the start of each billing month.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time from Settings → Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain full access until then. After cancellation, your account moves to read-only mode: your data is preserved and visible, but syncing stops and no new data is imported. Your data can be removed at request, but once doing so, the data will be gone forever and cannot be restored.
Upgrades and downgrades
You may change your plan at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately — you are charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the current billing period. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period.
If you downgrade to a plan with fewer allowed connected accounts, you will be asked to choose which accounts to keep active. Inactive accounts are paused — their data is preserved and visible but no longer synced.
Refunds
If you are not satisfied with Gylder, you may cancel your subscription at any time. Refunds are handled as follows:
- Monthly subscriptions: No refund for the current month. Access continues until the end of the billing period.
- Annual subscriptions: No refund once the billing period has started. Access continues until the end of the 12-month period.
- Free trial: No charge if cancelled before the trial ends.
Any subscription can be cancelled within the first 14 days of purchasing the subscription for the first time. It is not possible to cancel the subscription based on the 14-day cooling-off period when you upgrade or downgrade the subscription. If you start with a free trial, the 14-day cooling-off period starts at the first day of the free subscription, i.e., you cannot cancel your subscription based on the 14-day cooling-off period when the subscription turns into a paid subscription.
5. Early Goose — founding member programme
The Early Goose programme is a one-time payment of €99 that grants 6 months of Pro access starting when Gylder enters public launch. By purchasing Early Goose, you agree to the following:
- Payment is taken immediately at purchase. Your 6-month access period begins when Gylder is publicly launched.
- Early Goose spots are limited to 50. Once sold out, this programme closes.
- If Gylder has not launched by 1 August 2026, you are entitled to a full refund, no questions asked. Contact legal@gylder.nl.
- After your 6 months of Pro access expire, you are eligible for a permanent loyalty rate of €9/month for Pro (regular price €15/month). Your account continues on the Free plan (read-only) unless you subscribe to a paid plan.
- The loyalty rate needs to be claimed within one month after the aforementioned period of six months.
- Early Goose is non-transferable and non-refundable (except as described above).
6. Acceptable use
You may not use Gylder to:
- Connect accounts you do not own or have authorisation to access.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the service.
- Circumvent security measures, rate limits, or access controls.
- Share your account credentials with others or allow others to access your account.
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
7. Availability and data accuracy
Gylder aims for high availability but does not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability — we will notify you in advance where possible.
Financial data shown in Gylder depends on third-party APIs (banks, exchanges, providers). Gylder is not responsible for delays, errors, or inaccuracies originating from those providers. Data may be delayed by minutes to hours depending on the provider and sync schedule.
Exchange rates used for currency conversion are indicative and sourced from public APIs. They may differ from rates offered by banks or brokers.
8. Intellectual property
Gylder, including its design, code, and branding, is the intellectual property of cdum B.V. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on Gylder without our written permission.
Your data remains yours. We do not claim any ownership or intellectual property rights over the data you store in Gylder.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, cdum B.V. and its directors, employees, and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to financial loss, data loss, or decisions made based on information displayed in Gylder.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or use of the service shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to Gylder in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with reasonable notice where possible. If we terminate your account without cause, you will receive a pro-rata refund for the unused portion of any prepaid subscription.
You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Data → Delete Account. Upon deletion, all your personal data is permanently and irreversibly removed via crypto-shredding (your encryption key is destroyed). Active subscriptions are cancelled. This action cannot be undone.
11. Changes to these terms
We will notify you by email at least 30 days before any material changes to these terms take effect. Continued use of Gylder after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you may cancel your subscription and delete your account before the changes take effect.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands.
If you are a consumer residing in the EU, you retain the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence, in accordance with EU Regulation 1215/2012.
We encourage you to contact us first at legal@gylder.nl to resolve any dispute informally before initiating legal proceedings. You may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
